Egil Juliussen, Ph.D.
Dr. Egil Juliussen is founder and President of eTForecasts -- a market
and technology research and forecasting company specializing in the
PC and Internet industries.
He was previously President and Editor of Computer Industry Almanac,
Inc. which creates the Computer Industry Almanac and Internet Industry
Almanac reference books. Previously he was also Chairman of Workstation
Laboratories Inc., which specializes in performance testing of workstations
and personal computers. In 1986 he was a co-founder of StoreBoard
Inc. which tracks the sales of personal computer products through
com-puter dealers. StoreBoard was sold to Computer Intelligence, a
division of Ziff-Davis, in 1988. Prior to this, Dr. Juliussen was
Chairman and Co-founder of Future Computing, which was an information
service company that specialized in product testing, market research,
for the personal computer industry. In 1984, Future Computing was
sold to McGraw-Hill. Previously, Dr. Juliussen was with Texas Instruments
Inc. where he was a strategic and product planner for microprocessors,
minicomputers and personal computers. Dr. Juliussen was also employed
by Norden, a division of United Technologies, where he designed graphics
systems.
He has regularly written columns and papers for computer publications
and makes presentations, seminars and lectures in the U.S., Japan
and Europe.
He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering
from Purdue University.
